Theater Arts Students Receive Standing Ovation at Kennedy
Center/American College Theater Festival
This year’s
entry into the Kennedy Center/American College Theater Festival
by the Victor Valley College Theater Arts program was celebrated
with thunderous applause and standing ovations. The event was
hosted by Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah.
The Region
Eight Governing Board of the KC/ACTF invited the college to showcase
a scene from Baby with the Bathwater
for inclusion in the Evening of Invitational
Scenes. The event featured only 9 scenes selected from a total of 60 that were
nominated.
Fifty colleges
and universities from all over the western region participated
including Arizona, Guam, Hawaii, Nevada, Utah,
and California.
This was the eighth year the college has been invited to participate.
