If you are unable to visit the Writing Center for assistance with your writing project, you can e-mail your questions, a paragraph, or a paper (not to exceed four pages) to one of our writing center tutors. We will try to respond to your e-mail within 48 hours during weekdays. Please allow additional time for weekend requests.

Please note that the center's mission is to provide instruction rather than proofreading or editing.  We will provide comments and suggestions based on what you tell us you need help with.

How to Send Us a Draft or Question by Email

To help us help you, please include the following information at the top of your draft or question:

1.  Your name
2.  Your email address
3.  The course you are writing the assignment for (e.g., ENG 50, PSYCH 1A, etc.)
4.  Your instructor's name
5.  A brief description of the writing assignment
6.  What you would like us to focus on when we read the paper
7.  Any feedback you may have gotten from your instructor

(We recommend you copy and paste these questions right into your email message.)

When you are sending us a message, question or draft, please make sure that the text of your draft is included in the body of the message.  We will not open or read attached files or HTML formatted messages.

When you are ready to send a message, question or draft, you have two options:
