Guidance & Counseling Center - "Working together for student success."

**Attention New and Returning VVC Students**

Since Fall 2014 to present, every new and returning student to VVC must complete the following steps in order to be assigned a priority registration date:

  • Admissions application

  • Assessment (if assessment was taken at another college proof must be submitted to Assessment - Bldg. 55 or Admissions and Records - Bldg. 52)

  • Orientation (online via your WebAdvisor account or in-person)

  • After completing your admissions application, assessment, and new students orientation, make an appointment to meet with a counselor to complete a preliminary or long-term educational plan. (The Counseling Department is located in Bldg. 55).If you're unable to make an appointment online, please stop by the Counseling Department.

  • Important Notice: Not maintaining a cumulative GPA of a 2.0 or higher can place you at risk of losing your priority registration status at VVC.

For more information about the new priority registration policy at California Community Colleges, visit the Step: Forward priority registration website launched by the California Community College's Chancellor's Office.
