OCEANOGRAPHY
Students enrolled in Oceanography will be introduced to this multidisciplinary subject, which includes information from chemistry, geology, geography, meteorology, biology, physics, and more. The course covers the methods and techniques of ocean exploration, chemical properties of seawater, physical properties of currents, waves, and tides, and ocean topography, geography, and geology. Emphasis will be placed on adaptations of organisms to marine environments. Also included are discussions on ocean resource management and the significance of the marine environment to man.
