ClassLink (MyVVC) Multi-Factor Authentication Coming April 21st
Beginning on Monday April 21st, 2025 ITS will be requiring ClassLink Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all students.
MFA adds an extra safeguard to your online accounts by requiring a second step to verify your identity when logging in. This could be a temporary code sent to your phone, a notification from an authentication app, or a unique image known only to you. By using this extra step along with your password, MFA helps keep your account safer.
Why Use MFA?
- Stronger security - Helps protect against hacking and scams.
- Safeguards your personal information- Keeps your records and sensitive data secure.
- Peace of mind - Reduces the risk of unauthorized access.
What to Expect
- Extra login step - Takes just a few seconds but greatly improves security.
- Device needed - If using text messages or an authentication app, make sure your phone is handy and your contact details are current.
- Quick setup- Follow the instructions below to enable MFA for a smooth and secure experience.
The first time you login to ClassLink on or after April 21st, 2025 you will be presented with the ClassLink Multi-Factor Authentication Setup window:

- 3. Image - Doesn't require a mobile device. You will select an image from the provided list and each time you login to MyVVC you will select that same image.
