Work Experience Education

Welcome to Work Experience Education!

Work Experience Education (WEE) provides an educational opportunity for students to earn transferable college elective credit through their paid or volunteer work experience through their employer or an internship.

Work Experience Education offers courses in several occupational disciplines as well as general work experience (general work experience courses are not transferable).  These courses effectively use industry, government, education, and other business and service organizations for hands-on experience where students can apply what they're learning in the classroom  and improve on their skills.

Work Experience Education teaches students how to use work experience for personal development, training, and career planning.  Through the combined efforts of faculty, staff, students, and local employers, students are assisted in achieving desirable skills and knowledge at their worksite.

Work Experience Education is designed for students who are cross-training at their current worksite for upward mobility, looking to add skills to their resume, and students looking to gain experience for entry-level occupational positions through work-based learning experiences.
