Work Experience Education units apply as elective units for all Victor Valley College majors. Students can earn up to 16 units in Work Experience Education as elective credit for an Associate Degree or transfer to California State Universities (CSU) and some UC and private universities.
A student may earn from 1 to 8 units per semester for a total of 16 units toward an Associates Degree or transfer units. Credit is awarded based on the number of hours worked, number of learning objectives completed, and performance in the course. Students in a paid work experience are required to complete a minimum of 75 hours for each unit of credit. Students in volunteer work experience are required to complete a minimum 60 hours for each unit of credit.
