Welcome to E.O.P.S. and C.A.R.E.

We hope this message finds you well.  As everyone is aware, Victor Valley College is closed to the public. 

We, in EOPS will continue to serve our students via telephone and/or video conferencing.

What is E.O.P.S. ?

The Extended Opportunities Program and Services (E.O.P.S.) encourages the enrollment and retention of students who are educationally and financially disadvantaged. E.O.P.S. assist students in successfully completing a vocational certificate, an AA or AS degree, and in transferring to a four-year university.

An E.O.P.S. counselor is here to assist E.O.P.S. students in determining what educational plan to follow to help students succeed and to help with any questions or concerns they may have. 

E.O.P.S. provides special services such as: 

  • Book Service
  • Counseling
  • Orientation
  • Priority Registration
  • Transferring Assistance
  • Cap and Gown fees
  • Peer Advisor Positions
  • Referrals / Recommendations 


What is C.A.R.E.?

C.A.R.E. is an educational support program for single parents that are active in E.O.P.S., receiving cash aid, have a child under the age of 14, and are head of household.

C.A.R.E. provides special services such as:

  • Book and/or Supply Vouchers
  • Parking Voucher
  • Food and/or Gas Card
  • Transportation Grant
  • Referrals from the campus and community


*It is important to note that some services may not be offered due to possible budgetary constraints or budget cuts.*
