
What is Fresh Success?
Fresh Success is a voluntary CalFresh Employment & Training program that serves CalFresh recipients at community colleges, community-based organizations, and adult education centers. By providing case management and supportive services beyond food assistance, the Fresh Success Program helps students advance toward their career goals.
What are the eligibility requirements for Fresh Success?
In order to be eligible for the Fresh Success program, students must:
- be living in the San Bernardino County area, AND
- be recipients of CalFresh (SNAP) benefits, AND
- be enrolled in courses that promote career training and basic skills acquisition for the entirety of the program.
**Students who wish to apply for Fresh Success, can not receive CalWORKs benefits.
What benefits and services are available to Fresh Success participants?
Students MAY be eligible for the following benefits throughout the year:
- Textbook & supply support
- Emergency & monthly gas cards
- Emergency rental assistance
- Emergency utility assistance
- Emergency minor car repair
- Student success workshops and case managing sessions

How do I become a Fresh Success participant?
Due to an unexpectedly high number of applications, we have reached our maximum capacity to provide a satisfactory level of service to all participants. Consequently, we regret to inform you that we have closed the application process for the semester.
