ERIC ASKIER: 1986-1987

Eric was a two-year letterman for the VVCC Rams golf team in the 1986 & 1987 seasons. He qualifed for the Foothill Conference finals both seasons and was a team captain with his dynamic personality and natural leadership skills.

Eric served as a volunteer assistant coach to the VVC golf team for six years. During the 1996 VVC golf season Eric took-over the coaching job while coach Bill Bachofner recovered from surgery. His able leadership prompted that year's team to post some of the best performances in VVC golf history.

During this time-span Eric spent almost seven years working in the PGA apprentice program under the mentorship of head pro Gregg Combs at SVLCC. He was a vital force in the management of the SVLCC pro shop as well as its junior golf program . He played numerous PGA sectional events and was sponsored by Bill Hunter and Sierra Aluminum on the Golden State mini-tour.

Eric moved to Frisco, TX where he currently works at The Plantation GC. He conducts a highly successful junior golf program at the Plantation GC which is affiliated with the United States Junior Team Golf (USJTG) organization.
