Welcome to Victor Valley College’s 1st Annual Thrive to Drive 2025-2026! Below are answers to frequently asked questions students might have about this exciting program, where you can win a new RAM 1500 truck, cash, or other prizes.

1. What is the Thrive to Drive Program?

The Thrive to Drive Program is an opportunity for currently enrolled VVC students to win amazing prizes—including a new RAM 1500 truck, cash prizes, and more—simply by engaging in campus life and meeting certain eligibility requirements.

2. How do I qualify for the RAM 1500 truck giveaway?

To be eligible for the RAM 1500 giveaway, you must:

  • Be a currently enrolled VVC student.
  • Complete at least 6 units in both Fall 2025 and Spring 2026.
  • Have a GPA of 2.0 or higher (Good Academic Standing).
  • Follow the Student Conduct Code (no major disciplinary issues like suspension or expulsion).
  • Download the VVC Mobile App.
  • Attend the RAM Rush Event on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Victor Valley College.

3. Are there other prizes besides the truck?

Yes! You can win cash prizes and other items such as:

  • 1st Place: $1,000
  • 2nd Place: $500
  • 3rd Place: $250
  • Other prizes include TVs, computers, gift cards, and more!

4. Can I still win prizes if I’m not taking 6+ units?

Absolutely! Students taking fewer than 6 units can still accumulate points through campus participation and be eligible for cash prizes and other giveaways.

5. How do I increase my chances of winning?

The more points you earn, the higher your chances of winning the RAM Truck and other prizes!

  • 1 point = 1 entry into the giveaway.
  • Ways to Earn Points:
    • Enroll and complete at least 6 units each semester (6 points/semester).
    • Attend campus events like:
      • Sporting events
      • Performances
      • Tutoring sessions
      • Engagement Center events
    • Participate in flash events for bonus points!

6. What is the timeline of the program?

The program runs from the start of Fall 2025 (August 25, 2025) to April 10, 2026. The winner will be announced during the RAM Rush Event on April 25, 2026.

7. What is the RAM Rush Event, and why is it important?

RAM Rush is the grand finale event for Thrive to Drive. It will be held on:

  • Date: Saturday, April 25, 2026
  • Location: Victor Valley College Stadium, 18422 Bear Valley Rd., Victorville, CA 92395

You must be present at this event to win any prizes, including the RAM 1500 truck.

8. What does the Thrive to Drive Honor Code mean?

To ensure fairness, students must adhere to these rules:

  • Do not share event codes with others.
  • Only use codes for events you personally attended.
  • Check in at events to earn points, as codes will deactivate after the event ends.

9. Who chooses the winners, and how?

Winners will be selected through a random drawing of eligible entries at the RAM Rush Event. The Victor Valley College Superintendent/President’s decision on eligibility is final.

10. What costs are associated if I win the truck?

The winner of the RAM 1500 truck is responsible for:

  • Insurance
  • All government fees and taxes associated with the vehicle.
    The dealership will provide the winner with an IRS form 1099.

11. Can employees or family members of college staff participate?

No, employees of Victor Valley Community College District or its program sponsors, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible for the program.

12. What happens if I can’t make it to the RAM Rush event?

Unfortunately, students must attend the RAM Rush Event in person to win any prize. If you’re not present, your entry will be forfeited.

13. What happens in the event of a dispute?

All disputes regarding eligibility or compliance with the program rules will be resolved solely at the discretion of Victor Valley College. The Superintendent/President will be the final decision-maker in appeals.
