Participatory Governance
The Strategic Enrollment Management Committee (SEMC) supports the District’s goals for enrollment, student access, and student success. Its work is consistent with ACCJC standards, the District’s participatory governance policy, and established shared governance practices.
SEMC develops, recommends, and monitors the Strategic Enrollment Management Plan (SEMP). The committee works with the Office of Instruction, the Academic Senate, and other departments and constituency groups to carry out enrollment initiatives and track progress toward goals and timelines.
The plan identifies strategies that strengthen institutional effectiveness, educational quality, access, inclusiveness, equity, and credential completion. It addresses the full student journey—from first contact and entry through progression and completion of a program of study.
