Welcome to the School of BLAR! The School of Business, Law, Academic Resources (BLAR), and Distance Education prepares students for the world of Business Administration and Restaurant Management through Face-to-Face, Hybrid, and Online learning modalities. This School includes the departments of Business Administration, Business Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, Business Education Technology, Paralegal, Law, Public Administration and Restaurant Management.
At Victor Valley College, students will gain a deep understanding of the institutions that facilitate cooperation and commerce between companies, regions, and countries. Business Administration curriculum equips students with practical skills for employment within the business world, offering a variety of courses in management, accounting, marketing, and real estate. These courses help students fulfill their lower-division requirements for transfer to university-level programs and provide workforce development skills for the already career-oriented student.
Within the Department of Business Administration, the Paralegal and the Pathways to Law School programs exist, preparing students for careers in law offices, such as paralegals or attorneys.
We offer certificates in bookkeeping, entrepreneurship, management, paralegal studies, restaurant management, catering, administrative assistance, business administration degrees, and real-estate licensing courses for students interested in gaining a new career or moving up in an existing one.
The BLAR School is committed to providing comprehensive support for academic resources. We offer access to the Library, Tutoring and Academic Support, Distance Education, and Adult Education (English as a Second Language), ensuring students have the tools they need to succeed in their professional and academic journey.
