What Makes This Learning Environment Successful?

Traditionally, college laboratories are designed to support the theory sections of the program curriculum and courses. The reverse is the case in the Electronics and Computer Technology Department. The theory sections are intended to prepare the student to work effectively in the laboratory - where the student learns the most relevant technical skills.

The laboratory is an open environment where maximum flexibility is provided the student.

Students have the opportunity to gain "hands-on" experience working on state-of-the-art equipment.

Department staff proctor the laboratory during all operating hours and make every effort to make laboratory time productive.

Other services provided the student during laboratory hours include:

  • Computer/Internet Access
  • Tutoring
  • Student Study Groups
