The office of Instruction is dedicated to fostering a high-quality learning environment that empowers both students and faculty. We oversee academic programs, curriculum development, faculty support, and instructional services to ensure that students receive the best possible education.

Our Role in Academic Operations 

The office of instruction plays a crucial role in maintaining the academic integrity and functionality of Victor Valley College.

We:

  • Facilitate the Schedule Development Process - We work collaboratively with the department chairs and deans to develop a course schedule that meets student demand while optimizing faculty workload and institutional resources.
  • Oversee Faculty Contracts and Assignments - We ensure that faculty assignments are accurate and equitable, managing contracts and workload compliance in alignment with institutional policies and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Support Curriculum Development and Updates - We guide faculty and academic departments through the process of creating, revising, and updating courses and programs to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and state regulations, keeping our curriculum relevant and responsive to student and workforce needs.
