INFORMATION
Following the passage of Assembly Bill 190, Victor Valley Community College District (District) and the Part-Time Faculty United, American Federation of Teachers (AFL-CIO) Local 6286 (AFT) negotiated the implementation of a part-time faculty health insurance reimbursement pilot program for the 2025-2026 academic year (Fall 2025 and Spring 2026). It is the intent of the parties to comply with the provisions of recently signed AB-190 which allows the District to expand health insurance reimbursement to part-time faculty. The implementation of the program is addressed in the Memorandum of Understanding between the District and AFT.
