Meeting with a Transfer Counselor is a key step in building a strong and intentional transfer plan. A counseling appointment gives you clarity, direction, and support, so you can make informed decisions about your major, your universities of interest, and the courses you need to take. Our goal is to help you move through the transfer process with confidence, accuracy, and a clear sense of purpose.

During your appointment, we will work with you to:

  • Understand university and major requirements
  • Create an educational plan that aligns with your transfer goals
  • Ensure your coursework is strategic and transferable
  • Connect you with university representatives, events, and resources
  • Provide guidance on timelines, applications, and next steps

1-HR Transfer Counseling Appointment

To schedule a transfer counseling appointment please visit the Transfer Center in the Student Services Center "One-Stop" Bldg. 23, Rm. 05, or call (760)245-4271, Ext. 2138

Appointments are scheduled up to two weeks in advance, and new appointment slots are added every Friday. We encourage students to plan ahead, especially during peak transfer periods.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify the Transfer Center at least 1 hours before your appointment time.

No-Show Policy: Students who miss two appointments without providing at least 1 hour notice will no longer be eligible to schedule additional 1-hour counseling appointments with the Transfer Center for the remainder of the semester. This policy helps ensure fair access to appointments for all students. Students may continue to receive support through drop-in counseling services and workshops.
