Six UC campuses offer a Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) for California community college students who meet specific requirements. TAG is an agreement that lets you secure guaranteed admission to a participating UC campus, as long as you complete the required coursework and GPA by the deadline.
Each UC campus has its own TAG criteria. Requirements may include a minimum GPA, major preparation courses, general education patterns, and a specific number of transferable units.
By submitting a TAG application, you gain important advantages:
- Early review of your academic progress
- Early admission notification
- Clear guidance on the major preparation and general education courses you must complete

Note: Berkeley, UCLA, and San Diego do not participate in TAG.
Check out the TAG matrix for a full list of the campuses and their individual requirements.
