Transfer Requirements

Each university system has its own admission requirements. Some focus on specific general education patterns, some prioritize major preparation, and others use a more holistic review that may include essays, extracurriculars, or letters of recommendation.

Your major also matters. Certain majors may require additional courses, higher GPAs, or earlier deadlines, especially in competitive or impacted programs.

Because of this, it is important to:

  • Know which university systems you are considering
  • Check admission and major requirements early (ideally in your first year)
  • Meet with a counselor to build a term-by-term plan
  • Stay updated, since requirements can change each year

Tip: When you meet with a counselor, always share every college and major you are interested in. Different universities may have different requirements. Telling us your full list allows us to create one educational plan that keeps you eligible for all of them at the same time.
